Banipur Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Banipur was established in 1999 with the objective to provide higher education to women. The college made a humble beginning with four substantive lecturers and about a hundred students with classes held in the morning at a Girl’s High school in Habra. The new complex came up in 2003 at Banipur amidst the expansive lush greenery of nature far from the madding crowd. Banipur educational complex hosts a number of colleges - Post Graduate Training College for Physical Education and a Teacher's Training College, both having long and prestigious backgrounds. The college has expanded structurally and now the campus can boast of a two-storied academic block and a single-storied administrative block. The college at present offers Degree Courses in Arts ( Honours and General stream ) & Science (General). There are 13 UG departments in the college and the college has a good reputation for an excellent academic environment having produced many university toppers.

Our college has two separate buildings: a single-storied Administrative building and a two-storied Academic Building. The Administrative building has the principal's office, teachers' room, and office. The Academic building consists of 20 state of the art classrooms with abundant natural light, a library with a reading hall, seminar hall, science laboratories, computer room, students' common room and canteen. |

The library is situated on the first floor of the Academic building. Our library contains various books on different humanities and science subjects.
