Department of Botany started from 2017 and has B.Sc. Botany (UG). The Department well-equipped laboratory with modern instruments. The department is enriched with learning resources such as charts, slides, models, and a herbarium which help the students learn independently. Department of Botany also has Botanical Garden with various medicinal plants. The botanical excursion is organized in view to study the wild plant diversity, and forest ecosystem and to inculcate research knowledge in the students by visiting various ecosystems. The department has qualified and experienced faculty.
The course introduces students to the importance of plants as an integral part of existence on the planet. It is imperative to internalize fully the fact that human existence depends on plants and hence, the necessity to conserve nature is the need of the hour.
